Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The manuscript addresses a clearly defined systems-level ecological question and includes a Central Question and Contribution / Answer statement.
- For standard submissions, the manuscript includes the complete author list and affiliations. If optional double-anonymous peer review has been requested, the uploaded manuscript has been appropriately anonymized.
- A Data and Code Availability statement has been included.
- Any substantial use of AI-assisted tools has been disclosed in an AI Use Statement, where applicable.
- The submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere.
- All authors have approved the submission and agree with its submission to Systems Ecology.
- Use Comments for the Editor below to provide any preprint DOI or persistent identifier, and optionally suggest up to 3 editors and 3 reviewers.
